TCI Seaways, a division of Transport Corporation of India Limited, bolstered capacity and business expansion of its domestic coastal shipping business through acquisition of another vessel “TCI Anand” for the West-South Coast of India.
The new ship made its maiden voyage on the 19th October 2019 and will provide regular service on the route - Kandla-Pipavav-Kochi-Tuticorin & back. With a DWT 28499, TCI Anand can hold 860 TEUs laden containers of 30 tonnes gross weight.
TCI Seaways already has 6 ships with a total capacity of 63290 DWT deployed on the following routes:
1) Chennai- Port Blair & Port Blair -Chennai,
2) Kakinada- Port Blair & Port Blair-Kakinada
3) Mundra-Tuticorin
4) Mundra- Kochi & Kochi –Mundra
5) Mundra – Mangalore, Kochi & Back
