In 2008, Artificial Limbs Centre with the technical support of leading prosthetic and other physical aids manufacturer ‘Jaipur Foot’, established TCI-Jaipur Foot Rehabilitation Centre at Patna, Bihar. The centre works on the UN theme - “Break Barriers, Open Doors: For an Inclusive Society and Development for All”. The center is professionally supported by the renowned orthopedic surgeon, Padmashri Dr. R.N. Singh.

TCI-Jaipur Foot Rehabilitation Centre since its inception in 2008, has contributed its charitable services including free clinical examination, prosthesis and physical aids to underprivileged differently abled persons in the country. The centre is fully equipped with mobile prosthesis workshop set-up in a specially designed ambulance.

Van/Mobile Workshop

The mobile workshop delivers charitable services to the deserving inhabitants of inaccessible areas in the country. Its objective is to take the services to doorsteps of those who cannot afford to reach the centre at Patna.

Patients served in year 2020-21

The centre served 830+ patients in the year 2020-21 and provided them with prosthetics and prosthesis. Due to COVID-19 and its social distancing precautionary measures, the centre could not conduct camps in the remote areas; however, three camps were conducted at the centre in Patna to facilitate the beneficiaries when lockdown rules got a little relaxed. Most of the cases reported in the centre were accidents on roads or railway tracks. Majority of the cases were in the age group of 21 to 40 years.
