TCI DAV Public School is a step towards bridging the education gap in tribal region and providing standardized education to the children by making it available, accessible and affordable. The school journey commenced in 2005 in village Khunti, in collaboration with DAV College Management Committee.
This year, the annual function was organized on a larger scale to help students showcase their talent through a series of cultural programmes. The event took place on 25th March 2023, in the gracious presence of Sri Kariya Munda (Padma Bhushan), Former Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha, as Chief Guest ; Shri Aniket Sachan, IAS, SDO, Khunti , Guest of Honour ; Shri DP Agarwal, Chairman - TCI Group; Mr. Vineet Agarwal, MD - TCI; Principal, Sh. Bibekanand Ghosh, and Shri M.K. Sinha, ARO DAV Public Schools, Jharkhand Zone B.
The programme started with the lighting of lamps, Gayatri Mantra, and bouquet presentation to all the chief guests and dignitaries. The guests were honored with a mesmerizing welcome song by the students. Students from class LKG to X of TCI-DAV Public School captivated everyone with their jaw-dropping performances inspired by various cultures and traditions across the country; like Gidda, Bengali, Nagpuri, Bhangra and other folk dances by both boys and girls. Giving strict competition to each other, the students also showcased their skills and talents through skits and drama based on a theme for the national cause.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Kariya Munda, chief guest at the event. In his speech, he commended the school's efforts in providing quality education and said, "I am impressed by the infrastructure and facilities provided by TCI DAV Public School. The new playground, junior wing, and classrooms designed for interactive learning, as well as the state-of-the-art science lab, computer lab, and library, are truly commendable."
Mr. Vineet Aggarwal, MD - TCI, expressed his delight at the progress made by the school. He said, "It gives me immense pleasure to see the hard work put in by the students and teachers at TCI DAV Public School. The school has achieved several milestones in the past year, and I am confident that it will continue to do so in the future." He emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of the country and urged the students to pursue their dreams with determination and hard work. He also appreciated the efforts of the school in providing quality education to the students and encouraged them to continue working hard.
Commenting at the same event, Sh. Bibekanad Ghosh, Principal at TCI DAV School added, “Celebrations are held all over the country to mark major anniversaries, life transitions, and natural rhythms. We celebrate these to sustain and renew ourselves. It is rightly said that 'the greatness of a culture can be found in celebrating unity in diversity’, which has rightly been proven by our students.”
The annual day was also graced by the release of TCI DAV School Magazine ‘Pragati’. Toppers and winners were presented with mementos and were awarded prizes and certificates during the event. Their felicitation was a major part of this event.
The school has recently undergone several infrastructure upgrades, including the construction of a new playground and junior wing. The classrooms have been designed to promote interactive learning, and the school now boasts a state-of-the-art science lab and a computer lab equipped with the latest technology. The library has also been renovated and updated with new books, and CCTV cameras and announcement systems have been installed throughout the school premises for the safety and convenience of students and staff. Additionally, TCI DAV Public School has also introduced new school buses to ensure safe and comfortable transportation for students
